SYRACUSE-NORTH
WEBSTER INITIATIVE |

|
Presently, there are many low income families in the
Syracuse-North Webster area, who are paying as much as $600 a month to rent
substandard housing. Many homes do not
have adequate insulation and plumbing.
Others have only intermittent electricity or Visqueen, instead of
glass windows. These people are
struggling just to make ends meet. Habitat
houses, on the other hand, can be purchased, through no interest loans, at a fraction of
that amount. Participating families
can build equity in their home, helping to end the cycle of poverty. |
Our Vision
· Procure a parcel approximately 30
acres to build a Habitat community.
Property located near the town
water and sewer could result in a substantial savings in the cost per
home. |
